Where can I find a landed house floor plan in Singapore?

In this brief post, we’ll guide you on how to obtain the structural floor plans for your landed property or condominium in Singapore, and explain their significance.

If you’ve just purchased your property, you might have received an inaccurate floor plan with outdated measurements, or perhaps your Property Agent provided you with a sketch that isn’t to scale.

As a new owner of a landed home or condo, it's essential to acquire the official structural floor plans electronically from the Building and Construction Authority (BCA) through the Plan Purchasing System (PPS), where you can buy and download them.

For landed properties, we advise our clients to purchase all available plans to ensure they have comprehensive information, as you can't preview all the documents beforehand.

If you own a condominium, your building's Management Corporation Strata Title (MCST) may have the floor plan for your unit. If not, you will need to purchase it from the BCA.

The Importance of Floor Plans for Landed Houses

BCA floor plans are crucial for both you as a new homeowner and your selected renovation company.

Both parties need to refer to these plans to cross-check measurements, identify structural columns, and confirm boundary lines, as well as to determine whether certain walls can be removed or modified.

Hacking the wrong wall or an area of a wall could compromise the structural integrity of the building, leading to potential issues for you and others involved in the project.

For these reasons, it’s essential that your chosen renovation company uses the BCA floor plans as a foundation for their design ideas and proposals for your home.
